This 38 minute practice is dedicated to the knees. Building strong and healthy knees is essential for every athlete. We’ll focus on maintaining even weight distribution in the feet, even muscular engagement around the knee, preventing hyperextension, and proper foot and knee alignment. This practice starts off with some gentle hip openers to reduce stress on the knees and we’ll work through some standing and balance poses that are great for promoting knee strength.
Use this practice for knee maintenance and conditioning, and as a way to prevent knee injuries. This practice can also be used to rehabilitate yourself from a knee injury after getting the all clear from a medical professional. As with any injured area, make sure to work very mindfully and gently.
